Use Medesto To Keep Track Of Your Medications

While this isn’t something we usually cover on our site, we are not foreign to the importance of medication, and a streamlined way to manage and maintain proper medications in everyday lifestyles.

Whether the person taking the medication is a young child, forgetful adult, or elderly person, it’s never good to miss a dose, or double dose to overcorrect a mistaken belief. That’s the reason we specifically decided to talk about Medesto from Perigon Health 360.

The Medesto is a device that properly distributes medication at specific times for it’s users with the use of a tray of prefilled medications from Perigon Health’s very own pharmacies. There is no additional costs for using their pharmacy, and Perigon Health 360 uses most insurance plans with no change to copays. Users will receive pre-packs that they simply slide into the unit, and the machine will track medication dispersals, and will be trackable in the app and system.

The pill packs come in 15 day packs (for single dose per day use) and the prescriptions are filled in two packs so users will have a months worth of pills in their home at a time.

While we don’t like single use devices that can cause an increase in waste production and carbon footprint, the value of this waste is worth the removal of health and safety dangers caused by not properly taking medication for sensitive patients in need. This is made more so valuable when you find out that the containers for the pills is made from polypropylene food grade plastic that has been recycled for use. The foil used to seal the pills while unused however is not recyclable.
