iView is a leading innovator of the latest and greatest technology, and iView US has developed something unbelievable and truly impressive — though not too practical for the every day consumer.
Available through their online site, you’ll find a vast array of smart home devices at a steal, like WiFi smart bulbs, robot vacuums, alarms and sensors, and they even offer affordable laptops and tablets for kids that claim to be indestructible. Right now, the site is offering up to 40% off of a lot of their stock for the holidays.
Among the newest in their lineup is the iView Picasso smart latte printer. Yes, you read that right. A WiFi printer for your latte foam. It also works on baked goods. You have a monochrome option right now, but later in the month they’ll have a color option available!
While I was attending the LA Coffee Festival this weekend, see my post about it Here, I got to meet up with the marketing director, Loriauna Mora, who was so kind as to show me how this awesome guy works. First, you select your photo. You can download it from the internet or just take a picture of whatever. Then you connect to the Picasso Latte printer via WiFi. In a second, your photo will show up on the device’s built in touch screen. Once you select it, you’ll see an option of where and how and on what to print your photo. Line up your latte, then watch the magic as it lifts your cup, makes some buzzing sounds (which I’ve translated from machine speak to English as “abracadabra”), then a few seconds later, your masterpiece is now drinkable!
Now, as I’ve said, the iView Picasso isn’t as affordable as their $110 home security kit, that features a camera and 5 sensors (Ring offers something similar without a camera for twice as much!), but it is definitely the only one of these that I’ve seen that doesn’t require you to have software or a laptop hooked up to it. You can grab one of these bad boys starting at $1799.
This would make a wonderful purchase for many different types of businesses, whether it be a confectionery or coffee/tea house, or even a salon or a law office. I know you saw “Law Office” and thought “Monica, you’re crazy. Why would a law firm want to print on a latte?” Well, Casual Reader, it’s simple: it leaves an impression for clients. Imagine that you’re walking into a law firm. You’re dealing with a divorce, or an injury, or something else that happened. Whenever you visit a law firm, it’s rarely for anything fun. You’re probably in a bad mood. You sit in the client waiting area, and one of the firm’s assistants offers you a latte. You’re thinking, oh neat. They have a latte. You get handed a delicious, foamy cup with the law firm’s logo on it. Now you think “These guys are professional.”
Now, with a coffee house, you can get a lot more creative! You might even allow guests to select from an array of pre-approved images already on the printer (I wouldn’t suggest allowing them to choose from the entire internet! That can be dangerous!). Your shop can easily become the local go-to for a good time.
What makes iView really awesome in this regard is they have special wholesale pricing for business owners.
“But Monica! I’m not a business owner. Why do I care?”
Well, I’ll tell you! This makes for some awesome parties. Or even as an option for those who need the occasional pick-me-up. If you like to make things for birthdays or other events, or if you host these events, you can print some cool custom decorations on cakes. Save yourself the cost of buying a decorated pastry from the local bakery at an absurd cost. If you know how to make cupcakes, go ahead and do that. Then throw those guys into your Picasso and print the birthday kid’s face right on the frosting! Game night? Those go late! Make a latte with a d20 or a beholder on the foam. Print a meme. Print a picture of Obama trying to dip a cookie into milk and saying “Thanks Obama.” right onto a cookie. Then dip it in some milk. Be meta and print a picture of you drinking a latte with a picture of you drinking a latte. Have a girl over for Netflix and chill? Think of the possibilities.
