Happy Birthday To The New Catwoman – Zoë Kravitz

Today is Zoë Isabella Kravitz birthday. She was born on December 1, 1988, to actor-musician Lenny Kravitz, and his prior wife, actress Lisa Bonet. Zoë Kravitz is an American actress, singer, and model who made her acting debut in 2007 in the film No Reservations. She has even played a character in Fox Studios X-Men universe, Angel Salvadore in X-Men: First Class.

She has also starred in The Divergent Series, the Fantastic Beasts series, and Mad Max: Fury Road.

Now she is playing Catwoman in Matt Reeves “The Batman” which comes out in the near future. This isn’t the first time she has played Catwoman though, as she voiced Catwoman in The Lego Batman Movie.

Here are a couple of other interesting facts about Zoë Kravitz:

  • To Pass the time, Zoë Kravitz has hobbies just like the rest of us, one of her hobbies is knitting. Maybe she can darn you some socks?
  • Like her father, Zoë Kravitz is involved in music and has her own band, Lolawolf.
  • Her band name is a combination of her siblings’ names Lola and Nakoa-Wolf.
  • But this is the Comic’s Round-Up, so lets talk about Catwoman, the figure she is planing in the upcoming “The Batman” film with Robert Pattinson.

  • Appeared in Batman #1 in 1940.
  • The original look of Catwoman was a yellow suit, and a cat head mask. She also went by the name The Cat.
  • The change to her design to the black suit with cat ears came from Julie Newmar’s representation in the 1960’s Adam West Batman series.
  • Catwoman was originally banned by the Comic Code Authority for her character’s glamorization of crime.

    Batman #1 (1940)
    The first appearance of Catwoman, who in the first appearance went by “The Cat” In her first apearance “The Cat” wore a cat head in the commision of her crimes. It’s great to say that she was there since the beginning of Batman’s own comic book.
    Gotham City Sirens #1 (2009)
    After the loss of Bruce Wayne, and a new villain takes her down, Catwoman is rescued and taken in by Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn. They decide to help Selina back to health with positive female reinforcement, and form a team. This series kicks off a fun and impressive run for these anti-heros.
    Batman #24 (2016)
    While the story of Batman and Catwoman is one that goes on for a while, nothing was quite as romantic as the story of his proposal to her in this very comic. While it continues on to strife that showcases the strength of both characters, nothing shows the beauty of their relationship more then this moment right here.
