MACA Brings A Hydrogen-Powered Flying Car For Racing And Taxing

Everyone dreams of the world of flying cars, and technology is constantly evolving and moving forward. The realization that there could be a flying car in the new future available for the general public is quite an interesting thing!

One such company is MACA who, while not having an actual mock-up on display at CES, had experts and designers on site available to talk to us about their technology when we arrived at the Unveiled event at the beginning of CES. Their VTAL, mixed with Formula 1, focuses on a four-engine system with a separate dual control system. The purpose of the separated engine system is specifically to allow the second system to take over and run independently from the other if an issue causes the first system to fail. This allows the other system to potentially save the life of the crew and passengers. In theory, the vehicle can reach speeds of up to 155 MPH.

Of course one of the long-running jokes in the world of flying vehicles is what happens when your car stalls in the middle of the air. With the safeguards that MACA has installed in this vehicle that worry is just a joke and not an eventual sad story that will lead to a decline in flying taxi services.

On top of that MACA is the first hydrogen-powered flying racing car!
