Pokemon Go June Community Day – Deino a’plenty!

Hey, Trainers! Ready for another Community Day?

This time we have Deino. It’s another ‘mon that’s been available in Shiny for a while, but they’re so rare in general that I feel like the vast majority of Trainers don’t have one yet.

The event will be held on the 25th of June from 11:00am local time till 2:00pm.

Bonuses include:

  • 1/4 hatch distance for Eggs placed in incubators during event hours.
  • Incense and Lure Modules launched during event hours will last 3 hours.
  • 2X Catch Candy.
  • 2X chance to get Deino Candy XL by catching Deino. (Who’dve guessed?)
  • For $1 or your local equivalent, you can take part in a Special Research quest: Field Notes: Deino (You can also gift these tickets to a friend.)
  • Stickers! Deino themed Stickers will be available in the Shop plus by spinning Stops, Gyms and opening Gifts.
  • Photo bombs – 5 would be my guess.
  • Trades will be 50% less expensive re: Stardust
  • You can do one additional Special Trade for a total of 3 between 11:00am and 7:00pm.
  • Deino will be roaming the countryside en-masse, ready for catching.
  • Evolve your Deino or Zweilous all the way to Hydreigon during event hours or up to 2 hours after to unlock a new move: Brutal Swing!
  • You may snag some Shiny Deino if you’re lucky!
  • New stuff

A couple of interesting new features are being rolled out this month:

  • If enough Deino are caught by a group of Trainers with one Lured Pokestop, Zweilous will start to appear.
  • Zweilous will be appearing in 4 star Raids – if one is beaten, Deino will spawn with increased frequency within 300 meters of that gym for 30 minutes. These will be appearing up to 3 hours after the event ends and can ONLY be battled using in-person Raid Passes. Remote Passes will not work.
  • We do already have a Spotlight on Deino Here if you want to check that out. The only notable updates are an increase in CP after the Level cap increase – it can now hit a whopping Max CP of 4098.

The Shiny swaps blue for a very dark green. Nice and easy to spot!

And that’s all I’ve got for you this month, Trainers! As always, I wish you the best of luck! Stay hydrated and have fun.
