Pokemon Go – GO BEYOND!

Hey there, Trainers! Are you ready to GO?

GO where?

Beyond, of course!

So, let’s get this out of the way now – many people who hear the phrase “Go beyond!” nowadays are immediately going to follow it up with its appropriate finisher, “PLUS ULTRA!” and I’m no exception. So here’s a little All Might appreciation so we can get it out of our systems right now and conduct the rest of this article in a Pokemon-centric manner.

….still. We got a One Piece Monkey D. Luffy tribute Straw Hat Pikachu so it isn’t like crossovers are 100% off the table, right? And Pikachu would lend itself well to an All Might version considering its color scheme and the shape of its ears… just saying.

Anyway. We finally have confirmation of some things that have been swirling around as rumors for a while. A higher level cap, the introduction of Generation 6 Pokemon, seasons! Let’s break these things down one by one.

For every thing there is a season, turn, turn, turn!

December 1st will be the introduction of this system.

  • Every 3 months will see the advent of a new season.
  • They will be based on the hemisphere in which you live.
  • Pokemon which suit the season will appear more often in the wild, in Eggs, and in Raids.
  • Mega Evolved Pokemon, too, will be affected by these seasons – different Mega Evolved Pokemon will appear in Raids based on the season and per season, certain Mega Evolved Pokemon will receive boosts to CP and we’ll have more opportunities to use them.
  • I’m looking forward to seeing updated graphics for each season… hopefully that will be a thing. (Remember when we got the first graphical update for weather? That was a lot of fun.)

    Battle league

The League Ranks will increase from 10 to 24, and will be themed after the current season. That should be interesting! This will introduce new Badges for the top four ranks as well as giving Trainers the chance to get a bunch of new exclusive rewards.

These changes launch alongside the implementation of seasons, December 1st.

    Bonjour, Kalos Pokemon!

Generation 6 was filled with fantastic creatures, from the fierce Froakie to the terrifying Tyrantrum! This is pretty self-explanatory, and being as we don’t have any official information for how these new additions will affect the metagame just yet, I’m just going to add a couple of pictures of my favorite Pokemon from this, my favorite Generation since Generation 2.

In all seriousness though, the Goomy line, Noibat line, and Fletchling lines are going to be ones to watch.

From December 2nd, you’ll see new Pokemon in the game starting with Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Bunnelby, Fletchling, and Klefki and all their evolutions. There’s also a mysterious Pokemon appearing in 1 Star Raid Eggs around that time too, so keep your head on a swivel and stock up on Raid Passes!

    Level Up!
Now, what we’re all here for! Are you ready to really go beyond? Beyond Level 40?

Instead of just grinding XP, it’s a little more complicated than Levels 1 through 40. There will be additional tasks – some quite tricky! The Community has done well to uncover these conditions but being as this feature isn’t 100% live yet, this is all subject to change. • So!! This will give us things to do and work toward for months to come! Some of these tasks seem quite daunting, but I think we can do it. Plus, Platinum Badges are an exciting new level of challenge for the completionists among us!

Exciting times lay ahead Trainers. Good luck with filling out your new Pokedex, getting those extra levels and winning battles in the League!
