Tickets For Los Angeles Comic Con Go On Sale Friday!

Los Angeles Comic Con always gives a limited window for Early Bird Tickets, and the Early Bird Tickets are the best deal for tickets at any time!

Early Bird Tickets will be 20% off of their normal price and go on sale this Friday, June 11, 2021. This will make a great gift for the nerds dads in your life for Father’s day.

The event is being broken down into “Sessions” and the ticket sale includes 20% off of a three-session ticket package.

Still not feeling safe coming to a convention, Los Angeles Comic Con is still planning to offer streaming content and virtual access for people who would rather experience the event at home.

We connected once again with Chris DeMoulin, the CEO of Comikaze Entertainment, to ask him about the release of tickets for the event later this year.

Eric Bryan Seuthe II: Thanks for once again chatting with us Chris.

Chris DeMoulin: Thanks so much for asking me back, Eric! It’s always a pleasure.

Eric: We had talked about how the event was going to break the day into sessions, which will limit the people at the convention, while still allowing more attendees to safely experience the convention. How long will each sessions be specifically?

Chris: Right now we are planning for two (2) 5-hour sessions/day, and so are initially offering the EB pricing on a standard 3-session pass. As we get closer to the event, I’m sure we’ll have a variety of multi-session ticket bundles as we determine (with the LA Dept. of Public Health) what our capacity limits are, and how sales are accumulating by session.

Eric: The early bird sales include three sessions. Could a purchaser choose to use two sessions on the same day, or do they have to use them on separate days?

Chris: Absolutely, it is the choice of the fan which 3 sessions they choose, and we expect many people will pick both Saturday or Sunday sessions as 2 of their 3. They’ll be able to reserve that online as we get closer to the show, and more of the talent line-up is announced.

Eric: There was mention, that if things change and the convention decides it’s safe, they will switch to a full day event, and not a two session system. What would it take for you, and the convention, to feel safe to make the switch back to a full day schedule?

Chris: It’s not so much our decision, as it is the guidance from the LA Dept. of Public Health, the CDC and the State of CA just before their show as to recommended maximum capacity. There is a possibility that there will be no restrictions, and in that case we may convert “session” tickets to “day” tickets depending on the overall sales and capacity of the venue at that time.

Eric: How long will the discounted three-session package passes be on sale for 20% off?

Chris: “For a limited time.” Seriously, it will probably run until shortly after Father’s Day (L.A. Comic Con tickets make a great gift!), but there is a limited number of the 3-session passes available, as we sold about 40% of them last October. So I do advise people who really want a 3-session pass not to wait too long, and risk a “sell out.” They can buy 1-session passes later, but this is the best price we’ll have for 3-sessions.

Eric: Will we see any additional micro-conventions leading up to Los Angeles Comic Con?

Chris: There’s a very good chance, “Yes” — we’ve been discussing theme ideas for an event probably in September. We’ll let you know when/if we finalize our plans!

Eric: Which of the already announced special guests are you the most excited for this coming convention?

Chris: It’s no secret I’m a huge SpongeBob SquarePants fan, so I always love it when Tom Kenny can join us. I’m also excited to meet Frank Miller – he’s never been a guest before – and to have a full panel with Giancarlo Esposito. But everyone is someone’s favorite – THAT’S really my favorite part of the event, that every guest is some fan’s special favorite.

Eric: Thanks so much for your time, see you at the convention!

Chris: Thank you! We really appreciate everything you do to connect our community, especially during this tough time with no events. It will be great to see you in person again!
