Video Games for the Week of January 7th, 2020

PS4, Xbox One, & Switch

AO Tennis 2 by Maximum Games
To start off the first week of the new year, tennis fanatics will be thrilled to take part in the only tennis game designed for and by its community. Create your own, well, everything! From characters to stadiums, this game is made to bring the player directly to the Australia Open in the most intense and immersive experience, yet. The narrative-driven Career mode gets players into the nitty gritty of their character’s life, showcasing how external events can make or break an otherwise good game.

PS4 and Xbox One

Terminator: Resistance by Reef Entertainment
The resistance is coming to consoles this week! In post-apocalyptic Los Angeles, you play as Jacob Rivers, a private in the Resistance led by John Connor. Roughly three decades after the events of Judgement Day, Private Rivers finds himself the target of Skynet. Craft gear, recruit new teammates, and fight your way to the Griffith Observatory to destroy Skynet’s core once and for all! Fans of Terminator will love exploring the open world, taking down massive patrols of robot warriors, picking locks, and sleeping with allies in a wonderful and relatively creepy first person view. Gameplay feels largely similar to Fallout, characters are rich with backstory, and you’ll get to navigate tons of narrative with many NPCs to gather side-quests and stories, potentially leading to a different ending.
