From Thursday, January 23 all the way through Sunday, February 9, 2020 Universal Studios Hollywood is changing so much of their park to help celebrate the Lunar New Year.
What does this specialty celebration cost you, the ticket holder? Nothing extra! It’s all included with their regular admission price!
If you are born in the year of the Rat, then you are said to be witty and intelligent. Well it would be pretty unlike a person born in the year of the Rat to miss this re-theme of the park!
The Universal Plaza, located at the heart of the theme park has been vacated by the Grinch, and is now home to traditional red Chinese lanterns, stunning plum blossom Wishing Trees, and decorations.
The event will also feature traditional festivities throughout the event focusing on the twelve (12) zodiac animal signs, their symbolic forms, and more!
Children will also have a blast as guests will get to interact with the characters from Kung Fu Panda Adventure, meeting and greeting Po, Tigress, Mr. Ping, and children can learn how to draw Po with art classes!
It wont just be the Kung Fu Panda group though as Hello Kitty will be on site greating the guests outside the Animation Studio Store, and Minions are getting into the spirit by dressing in brightly colored traditional Lunar New Year attire.
The Studio Tour will also be hosting select Mandarin-speaking tours, at select times. It won’t just be the tour guides that get into the action, as Transformers’ Megatron will be speaking to, greeting, and threatening guests of the park in Mandarin in the lower lot, before people enter the attraction: Transformers: The Ride-3D.
That’s not all though. Once you are done with the park, your Lunar New Year celebration doesn’t have to end there. Go get dinner at Dongpo Kitchen in Universal CityWalk. This restaurant focuses their menu on upscale and modern Sichuan cuisine!
Hurry and get your tickets now, before the festivities scurry away!
