Trick? Or Treat? Free Halloween Webcomics

Trick? Or treat? October is my favorite month of the year, so I’m feeling charitable. Today I will grant you all a treat! My top four favorite FREE webcomics to read in the month of October. Obviously that means they will be halloween themed. Each webcomic has a lot of awesome reading inside it, so I’ll keep it a short…

The Creepy Case Files of Margo Maloo by Drew Weing

https://www.drewweing.com/comic/chapter-1-city-of-monsters/

This is an ongoing kids and adult web series which also has book collections. And believe me, you are going to want to read all of it! Charles just moved to Echo City, and some of his new neighbors give him the creeps. They sneak into his room, steal his toys, and occasionally, they try to eat him. The place is teeming with monsters! Lucky for Charles, Echo City has Margo Maloo, monster mediator. No matter who’s causing trouble, Margo knows exactly what to do—the neighborhood kids say monsters are afraid of her. It’s a good thing, because Echo City’s trolls, ogres, and ghosts all have one thing in common: they don’t like Charles very much.

If you are a fan of his work, feel free to pick up his graphic novel collection. Book one has been out for a little bit, and book two was just released.

The Groom by Emily Carroll

Upon visiting the site, scroll down and you will see a whole list of adult horror and mystery free webcomics. Start with “The Groom”. It’s a short seven page webcomic that just gets creepier as you go along. The story follows two little girls who find a mysterious shadow box at an abandoned house. As you are going through the frames, make sure to look at the details in the illustrations. After you read this story, you will want to check out the rest.

The Last Halloween by Abby Howard

Book one has seven excellent chapters and you can read all of it! The illustrations look genuinely, and sometimes unexpectedly, spooky while still embracing the fact that the main characters are mostly children. But beware! This is for sure an adult webcomic. Mona and her unusual friends must work together to defend humanity from countless horrific monstrosities. Perhaps they will succeed, and humanity will prevail as it always has. Or perhaps this will be… The Last Halloween.

False Positive by Mike Walton

This is an adult short story horror series in webcomic form. Each one of them different but connected by the fact that they are all twisted tales. I started with “Ache,” a man pulls out an aching tooth, and discovers something strange within his body. Each tale is like a quick hop to the Twilight Zone. Let me know which ones you like best.
