Hosted by Michael Varrati, this panel looks at horror comics, films, and television that focus on LGBTQ+ characters and themes. Horror specifically has attempted and successfully shown the general public how outsiders and others feel when compared to the mainstream. Panelists include Drusilla Adeline, Darcie Little Badger, Terry Blas, Trinidad Escobar, Joamette Gil, and Steenz.

Saturday – July 24, 2021 – 4:00 p.m. PST
Out In Comics Year 34: Mainstreaming

Returning to the convention for its 34th year, and still relevant, this panel will focus on LGBTQ or LGBTQ-friendly people working in the industry. Queer representation is significantly noticeable and more mainstream, so there will be a lot to cover! Panelists include Andy Mangels, Sarah Brunstad, The Kao, Nina Taylor Kester, Danny Lore, Josh Trujillo, Luciano Vecchio, and a couple of surprise guests!

San Diego Comic Con’s “@ Home” event is virtual and free, so if you have the time, you should definitely join a couple of panels.
