A lot of things are happening with BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. this year for Pac-Man’s 40th anniversary, we talked about a couple of the things in our prior articles Here and Here.
One of the things I wasn’t expecting though, was a collaboration with Caterpiller Inc, more commonly known as CAT.
You see Caterpillar Inc. is celebrating their 95th anniversary, and are partaking in a series of trials to celebrate. Earlier trials included playing the world’s largest Jenga game, maneuvering their equipment in a china shop, and building a massive sandcastle!
Now for their ninth trial, they recreated the game board, as a 29,296 sq. ft. maze, for Pac-Man with their heavy-duty construction equipment, in the end, they moved 5,300 tons of earth. Then ran their Cat 236D3 vehicles through the course with remote drivers, five professionals esports and social media personalities, in the form of a giant Pac-Man game!
