Nerd Out: December 2021

Christmas is almost here. It’s time to get in the mood, and what better to get you in the mood than a fun and festive local event to get you in the mood?

Before we go into the details of the events, we want to remind people that we are still within the thralls of a pandemic, and recommend people check out our article on ”If You Should Go Out” Here. Candy Cane Lane Coming to Woodland Hills all month long in December.

This section of Woodland Hills goes all out for Christmas, and as a result, a community has sprung up. Every year the residents in this area decorate their house with thousands of bulbs and tons of displays. Showcasing a huge breach of commercial license laws, but for the benefit of the children who come to visit. In the past, attendance meant you might see a celebrity or two, enjoy the holiday, see roving vendors, could purchase fair/parade-like toys, and Residents even got into the act selling hot cocoa and coffee. It’s hard to say if this will be the same with COVID-19.

You can either sit in your car, and move at the speed of a snail, or you can park at the main road, and walk through the neighborhood. Either way, take in the beauty, and showcase the wonderment for your younger children!

    Is It Safe?
This isn’t a formal event, but I am sure the residents would prefer that the visitors stay in their vehicles. Please be cautious though, and if you roll down your windows for photos and better looks, please have everyone in the vehicle wear a mask. As we’ve said before, as long as you are only riding with those you live with, this is a very safe and secure way to celebrate and enjoy the holiday.
