Movies Releasing For The Week Of September 14, 2018

We are back for another week. Ready to get my … Interesting take on movies?

Here is what movies are coming out tomorrow, and if we suggest you watching them.

AMERICAN CHAOS – Releasing 09/14/18
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

A documentary focusing on Donald Trump supporters during the last six months leading up to the 2016 presidential election. The director, Jim Stern, thought it important to attempt to understand their thought process and to gain reasons as to why a billionaire was able to capture their loyalties. The movie asks the question as to why the actions and words of the presidential candidate did not divide or dissuade his base.

In immediately removing a little under half the population from wanting to watch his movie, Jim Stern has crafted a very interesting Documentary which you either want to see, or at this point, are sick of politics. If you are a political-science major, or just interested in seeing the other side of how we got to were we are today, this might be an interesting watch. For me, I’m just so tired of all of this from my regular daily life.

ARMED – Releasing 09/14/18
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

A story of a retired U.S. Marshalls dealing with the toll his job took on his life, is turned on it’s head when a former colleague of Chief, played by Mario Van Peebles, visits him and tells him that the survivors, of his failed raid that turned his life upside down, are suffering the same symptoms he is facing. After realizing that his symptoms are not just that of PTSD, he looks into the cause of the symptoms and discovers a conspiracy.

While this movie is only being released in limited theaters, this movie seems to hit that conspiracy, thriller niche that seems to be lacking in this week of movies. If that is your type of movie, then I highly recommend that you check this movie out. I do warn though, it’s a bit heavy of a subject matter though.

LIZZIE – Releasing 09/14/18
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 73%

The story of Lizzie Borden, played by Chloë Sevigny, told in an entirely new light. Lizzie Borden is known as the perpetrator of the most confusing murder mystery of it’s era. The story tells of her relationship with the house maid, Bridget Sullivan, played by Kristen Stewart, and how the simple relationship lead to the events that transpired and confused a generation. The movie focuses on the days that lead up to and shorty after the Lizzie Borden murders.

Say what you want about Kristen Stewart, for any fears that you have about her acting ability, she does take interesting roles. From the press released content, it looks like she is doing a good job in this role, but it’s a reserved character, and those are a little easier to play. However Chloë Sevigny high level of confirmed skill is very clear in the movie, and if you are willing to put up with a period piece, then this drama film will likely be a solid movie for the weekend.

THE PREDATOR – Releasing 09/14/18
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 49%

Predators are back. They’ve allowed humans to defeat them far to many times. To gain the competative edge, they’ve modified themselves with the genetics from other of their felled trophies. Now they plan to re-claim the trophy of the greatest hunters of the galaxy. Set in a small town, a small group of retired soldiers have to face off against the “upgraded” perfect PREDATOR!

Here is your action film for the week guys. Get your adrenaline rush right here. This movie is turning out to be an amazing piece of action as the reviews start to come in. If you are looking for a fun, fast paced film to hold your attention, then check out this film. I mean come on, you already were going to.

A WIZARD’S TALE – Releasing 09/14/18
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

A family friendly story of Terry, played by Toby Kebbell, who creates a magical kingdom called Groovynham, to help himself deal with changes that are outside of his control in the real world. Terry must work with Princess Dawn, played by Lily Collins, to defeat the evil wizard Grump, played by Ian McShane. Grump evil plan to cast a spell of gloom over the kingdom has been successful, and Terry has to find the solution to get everyone to be happy again!

If you got a kid, and have to take them to the movies, you are likely going to see this movie. I have no interest in seeing this, but most parents don’t get the choice. I’m sorry if you have to watch it.
