Based on true-life, Greville Wynne, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, is a businessman. However, he is recruited into a conflict by a CIA operative, played by Rachel Brosnahan. His duty forces him to befriend a Soviet officer to acquire intelligence to prevent nuclear war during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

The Cuban Missile Crisis was a major event in the history of the USA. Most Americans did not know how close we came to launching missiles. This movie shows not only the spy lifestyle in a more realistic way, but also a piece of America at its most fearful.

When alien doors begin to appear around the world the race begins to find out what threat or agenda they have. Anyone who interacts with them disappears, but the government must take the risk to establish contact on the other side with a group of high school volunteers, played by Josh Peck, Lina Esco, and more.

A sci-fi movie focusing on the great unknown of the other side of the door. While the concept seems foreign and unlikely to us today, most science we know today would look insane to anyone a hundred years before.

Two cops, played by Simon Sears and Jacob Lohmann, are trying to make it through their route for the day when a mob of rioters traps them in a maze of buildings in Svalegården. Will they be able to make it out, or will this be the last day of their life.

A Danish film tackling the topics of class and society, with a slow pace of police action. If you are looking for an action film, and don’t mind it being a foreign film, then this is a good fit for you this week.

Mick, played by Jeremy Piven, got out of town as a success. Now a family emergency has called him back, but a real estate opportunity is keeping him here. He could protect his family bar to keep his connection to family, or sell it, and move on with his life.

We sometimes forget the stories of what binds us to the world. Last Call gives us a familiar story to Mr. Destiny and Family Man without the need of changing the world, only calling us back to our past life and letting us make the choice of where we go from there.

When five people begin to undergo testing and treatment for their phobias as a government testing facility, they begin to undergo strange effects. Their doctor, played by Ross Partridge, will stop at nothing to weaponize their fear for his own purposes.

A psychological horror film that calls back to the villain of Scarecrow from the Batman comic series. However, fear, in general, is a wide range that allows the storyteller to choose whatever monster or villain to scare his audience, similar to the multitudes of genres used in the It movies.
