Movies Releasing For The Week of December 6

The Aeronauts – Releasing 12/06/19
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 83%

Set in 1862, Amelia Wren, played by Felicity Jones, wishes to fly higher then previously thought possible. With the help of James Glaisher, played by Eddie Redmayne, a meteorologist, they begin their journey of discovery, and record breaking heights! The one thing they couldn’t have prepared for though, was the difficulty of breathing, as the air becomes thin.

If you didn’t get a chance to see this movie at their fair that has, and is currently touring the USA, then you could also see this movie in theaters, or on Amazon Prime Video. That being said, the production value on this film is high, and the talent is there! Definitely recommend checking this movie out!

After Class – Releasing 12/06/19
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)

A professor, played by Justin Long, hides out with his family, after his actions at his jobe could cost him his profession. While spending the time with his family, his grandmother, played by Lynn Cohen, falls ill, and is about to die. The family has to deal with the realization of the fleeting nature of life, and reconsider what they have in life.

This is a heavy film, and while Justin Long’s storyline will seak to interject small amounts of humor, the dark and drama nature of this film is the primary story. That doesn’t mean don’t watch the film, just always be prepared for a sad story about loss, with a silver lining of family growth.

Grand Isle – Releasing 12/06/19
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – (None Available Yet)
A couple, played by Nicolas Cage and KaDee Strickland, help a young man, played by Luke Benward escape a hurricane. Things take a turn though, when a police officer arrives, played by Kelsey Grammar, and the younger man must now prove he isn’t responsible for the couple’s murder.

An interesting film, focusing on a suspenseful drama. I am interested to see how Nicolas Cage performs in this film, with the recent success with Legion M’s Mandy. There is a really good chance that Nicolas Cage has found his niche, and I am interested to see it in theaters.

I See You – Releasing 12/06/19
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 67%
Greg Harper, played by Jon Tenney, struggles to find a missing child, which places pressure on his already rocky relationship having broken his vows to his wife, played by Helen Hunt. The hunt for the child though, places danger further on his family, and his own son.

This is a very heavy film, It’s more so then the film After Class, and also covers the topic of child endangerment, and child violence. So that will likely push a lot of people away, but that being said, I’ve missed Helen Hunt in the industry, so I am glad to see her back.

Playmobil: The Movie – Releasing 12/06/19
Rotten Tomatoes Reviewer Score – 24%
Marla, a control freak, must venture into the chaotic fictional world of Playmobil to resue her missing brother. However, when she does, she sees the world that she has prevented herself from enjoying, but controlling and organizing everything. The cast of this film includes Daniel Radcliffe, Adam Lambert, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jim Gaffigan, Gabriel Bateman, and Kenan Thompson.

Do not watch this film, send the kids with the babysitter if they really want to see it. This is a horrible movie, that unfortunately for them, has an awesome cast.
