Simon Curtis, Singer-Songwriter and Actor, best known for Nickelodeon’s Spectacular, is working with Legendary Comics to produce graphic novel, The Witches of Silverlake. The art for the graphic novel is by Stephanie Son.
Nikita Kannekanti from Legendary Comics says that “Simon has created a fun and unique story for this graphic novel that is filled with magical high-school adventures set right here in Los Angeles’ neighborhood of Silverlake. I am thrilled to be working with Simon and Stephanie to tell this engaging story featuring a witchy and endearing cast of misfits.”
Simon Curtis stated, “I am beyond thrilled to be working with Legendary to bring these characters to life. Elliot and his coven of queer, teen witches are everything I’ve always dreamed of seeing in pop culture, and I’m so excited to have a company with such incredible vision as eager as I am to tell a story of the magic of otherness.”
The novel is set to release in early 2021.
People attending L.A. Comic Con this saturday can actually see Simon in the panel, Legendary Comics 2019 and Beyond this Saturday, October 12, 2019. The panel starts at 11:00am in Room 404AB. If you attend the panel, you’ll also hear about Championess, Lupina, The Heart Hunter, Lost in Space: Countdown to Danger, Acursian, and Firebrand.
