Both the Los Angeles Public Library and the Glendale Library Arts & Culture have pick-up/togo options for their patrons.
This contactless option is easy to do, with you scheduling your hold through the sites above, and then make an appointment per their requirements. Then all you do is walk up, or drive up to collect your books at select locations.
Glendale even offers movies and music through their service!
