See What Los Angeles Comic Con Is Going To Do To Keep You Safe

We’ve already talked about the convention in the past, see our prior interview with CEO Chris DeMoulin Here. As he promised in that interview, as we get closer to the convention starting, the Convention is sharing thier safety protocols to keep you safe during your fandom fervor.

A lot of time has passed since October 2019, their last in-person convention, and Los Angeles Comic Con does not take this event lightly. So with that in mind, they are going to follow everything that is required by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.

Here are the conventions actions/requirements for the safety of those attending:

  • Attendees must show proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or negative test result prior to entry.*
  • Free 15 minute result PCR tests will be available on-site for people without vaccine or test results.
  • All attendees will be required to wear face coverings during the event.
  • The convention will run 20 magnetometers to help speed up safety checks.
  • Entry will be split into three points, to prevent bunching.
  • The convention has expanded to the West Hall doubling the space of the prior convention to allow more space for social distancing.
  • The site will be cleaned before, during, and after all sessions to the standards of LA County and the CDC.
  • *Children under age 2 are exempt.

These rules are in compliance with Los Angeles Counties’ rules for “Indoor Mega Events” which are events that are more than a thousand attendees.

The convention will also be offering digital tickets to access virtual content and shopping for fans who still don’t feel safe attending public events.

The convention is coming to the Los Angeles Convention Center from December 3, 2021 through December 5, 2021. Tickets are still available for the convention, and can be purchased Here.
