He-Man Live-Action Coming Thanks To Mattel And Netflix

It’s a great time for the He-Man Universe. With not only the She-Ra series, Kevin Smith’s He-Man series, and even a more child focused series as well. What more could fans of the old school product want?

How about live-action?

Mattel Films has partnered with Netflix yet again, this time for a all new live-action movie based on Masters of the Universe.

They have even announced their He-Man, played by Kyle Allen who is repped by UTA, Management 360, attorneys Steve Warren & Huy Nguyen, and imPRint. You might know Kyle better for his role on American Horror Story as Timothy Campbell or in the new film West Side Story..

The Masters of the Universe Live-Action Motion Picture will be from the Nee Brothers, Aaron and Adam Nee.

The Nee Brothers have worked on projects like Law & Order and Sex and the City. They will be co-writing the screenplay with David Callaham who is also currently working on the sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

The story will take some deviations with Adam being an orphan who discovers he is not only a prince, but that he will be the savior of Eternia. Don’t worry though, the series will have Skeletor. Don’t expect this film right away though, as production starts in summer.

Do you hope it will be just like the Dolph Lundgren version of the film, or far from it?
