4th Annual Glendale Community College Makers Faire

The 4th Annual Glendale Community College Makers Faire took place on Saturday, April 27th, 2019.

The faire ran from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. with a multitude of activities.

Here is a list of what they offered:

  • Tours of the Campus Amenities (Sandbox Workspace, Engineering Lab, Machine Shop, Art Gallery)
  • Panels (Mexico: Welcome to the Land of Colors, Russia: The Architectural Fairy Tale, Road to the Cosmos, Women in STEAM, Information Visualization in Mixed Reality, The Architectural Gem of Iran, Music Meets Block Chain, Highland Park Therapy, JPL: ROV-E, Art Lecture, and Land a Great Job in STEM)
  • Planetarium Show
  • Car Exhibition
  • Exhibitor Booths
  • Activities (Greeting Card Crafting, Kinetic Sculptures, Solar Car Constructions, Painting with LEDs, Paper Laser Cutting, Basics of Comic Strip Art, Google Cardboard, Pyramid Catapult, Meteor Rockets, Arduino, Vinyl Heat pressing)

    We did have favorites though among the exhibitor booths.

    Magnetic Magic Vista: Showcasing the impressive and amazing tricks that can be done with an electromagnet.

    VEZT: A new company that allows fans to support artists and within that make profits back on the investments.

    NASA: Presenting a freestanding 3D view of Mars courtesy of the Mars Rover.

    Downtown Central Maker Space: An amazing feature from the Glendale Public Library where you can use all kinds of amazing equipment to craft to your hearts intent. They have 3D printers, sewing machines, crafting tools, and more!
