H.B.D. Kirk Douglas! Worthy Comic Book Recs

About 17.7 million people are celebrating a birthday on any given day of the year. The United States alone has about 814,000 birthdays each day. 

Out of all those birthdays, today happens to be the birthday of Kirk Douglas! Who’s that you ask? After stints in the U.S. Navy and on Broadway, Kirk Douglas broke into the movies with The Strange Love of Martha Ivers. He went on to critical acclaim in such films as 1952’s The Bad and the Beautiful and 1956’s Lust for Life. One of his biggest hits was 1960’s Spartacus

Ah Spartacus… Directed by Stanley Kubrick and starring our very handsome Mr. Douglas here. Spartacus, a slave, leads a violent revolt against the decadent Roman Empire! 

So today, in honor of one of Mr. Douglas’ greatest role in Spartacus, I will share with you my very biased favorite comics worthy of his role in this hit movie.
