Comic Inspired Costumes for Halloween

Halloween is upon us! But do not fret, there is still some time to purchase or create a costume. So today I’m here to help you out with some of my personal favorite comic book related costumes for men and/or women. Obviously there will and should be Wonder Woman, Deadpool, Captain Marvel, Harley Quinn, and Black Panther costumes. But like I said, this is my personal favorites list. Also I’d like to mention that this is not a sponsored post and as for quality of the costumes listed, that’s up to your additional research. If there are other comic or web comic related costumes or accessories you’d like to share, especially DIY, please do so in our comments.

TANK GIRL (Rebecca Buck)

Believe it or not, it’s actually the 30th anniversary of Tank Girl. Not only is she one of the most kick ass character of my childhood, she has so many fun costume possibilities due to the crazy props. Now is the time to bring her back! If you are cool enough, you can even use some of these props and clothes in everyday wear. Unfortunately there is no easy Amazon kind of purchase of this costume, but CarbonCostume.com has a great page of links on how to get this costume together.

VENOM

We all know that the Venom movie just came out and there are some great male and female versions of this costume. It is just such a perfect idea especially for Halloween… I mean, have you seen Venom’s face? I’ve seen some amazing make up only versions of Venom such as this one from Madeyewlook on YouTube, but for those of us who don’t have this skill, there are options! A mask can easily be paired with a black shirt, or shirt with Venom’s logo. But there is also a sexy spandex bodysuit version!

DARK PHOENIX (Jean Gray)

With the upcoming movie X-Men: Dark Phoenix happening June 7th, it’s a great time to jump on this now. Obviously if you already have the red hair and light eyes this might be a super easy costume for you. But if you don’t already have those attributes, there are lots of different versions of this costume you can pick up at places like Amazon with a wig for an easy purchase.

BATMAN

Like I said, this is my personal favorite list of Halloween costumes and there is nothing sexier to me than a really well done Dark Knight costume. Now, there are many versions of this costume available but I’m talking REALLY WELL DONE. 100% latex, hand wash only, kind of well done. Sorry but you might break the bank on this one but it’s the kind of costume that you for sure can wear multiple Halloweens, maybe even your wedding… hey, I’m not here to judge. Accessories purchased separately.

This concludes my top favorite Halloween costumes this year. But also feel free to share with us your costume no matter what it is. We are big supporters of you being you. My favorite Halloween costume was becoming a female Rat Fink. Turns out no one my age actually knows who that is, but I had the most fun putting it together DIY. Now go ahead and procrastinate a few more days and end up borrowing one of your friends costumes or be the same thing as last year, just be you!
