Coming to June on the 6th, the Capcom Pro Tour us coming online to combat the social distancing requirements of the COVID-19 pandemic.
They did this, primarily because of the travel restrictions, and safety concerns. They want people to enjoy the event, without having to put themselves at risk or keeping anyone out.
So the 18 Online Regional Tournaments are starting with the North America East Tournament on June 6th. Every winner of the 18 tournaments will be qualified to participate in the Capcom Cup 2020 event.
Additionally, due to setbacks the Capcom Cup 2020 will take place unfortunately in the first quarter of 2021.
