The Eisner nominated comic book series Annihilator is taking the six-issues and compiling them into a paperback edition. Christopher Meloni will be introducing the series with a brand new forward, and the new alternative covers will be included in the collection, with art by Frazer Irving (from Batman and Robin, Judge Dredd, and Necronauts).
If you haven’t checked out the series before, it is about a washed-up screenwriter named Ray Spass who has had a hard life. His recent failed relationship and self-destructive lifestyle have wasted his clout in the industry. Everything changes though when he is forced to join his own fictional character, Max Nomax, as reality comes crashing down around him.
The series was created by Grant Morrison (from Animal Man, Batman, All-Star Superman, Fantastic Four, and Happy!). Morrison even received a nomination for ‘Best Writer’ with his work on the series.
